"What's a studio spot?" Trini demanded, staring up at the man
Sickening smile widened as he directed an answer to her. "It's TV talk for commercial, sweetie."
"A commercial?" Fear and doubt vanished from her eyes at a sudden prospect. "You mean I could be on TV?!"
Linao shook her finger. "Hush, you." Sliding her gaze back to Simon, she gave a half-nod; "Thanks, Mr. Templeton. I'll give him the message."
"Make sure to tell him Thursday, 3 o'clock sharp. Have him call if he can't make it, I'll try to arrange something." The man turned around, walking thoughtfully away. Two days. I'd better get started.
"TV! I get to be on TV!!" Trini's grin took up nearly half her face. "Ooooh, wait till I tell Mawee!"
"Now hang on a minute, he didn't say--"
"Will I be a star? Will I have my own butler and stuff? And servants?"
"I don't think you're going to--"
"Oooh, I bet I get my own makeup lady! And a guy who gets me drinks--"
"Trini--"
"--And a dressing room..."
Dressing room... Linao stopped dead, eyes flashing over the scene from last night. That stranger... he had the same voice. Didn't he? "I mean it, Linao. You still have a choice." Spinning around, she stared hard back at the sidewalk. He had already vanished. "What the..?"
