Personality
Elana is a semi-inexperienced journalist/computer engineer with a penchant for getting in over her head. While her skills might need a little polishing, she still has a decent job at a low-security Tech plant, compliments of her father.
Aside from the career qualities of her life, Elana has always felt that she's.. different, somehow. She has a fetish for collecting figurines and posters of unicorns, though most of them are kept in boxes in a rather blandly decorated room.
Elana works out a good deal. She likes to jog through the park in the morning before work, and she drinks a fair share of coffee. In her free time, when she's not on the computer trying to cipher through security codes to get information, she likes to sit in the park and day-dream.
Distinguishing Characteristics
Elana's light-orange hair, nearly blonde in places, is feathered around her face and shoulders and longer in the back. She wears fashionable clothing when she's not at work, but her technocracy position keeps her in rather bland attire for most of the day.
Tall and slightly lean, she doesn't stand out in a crowd unless she's wearing one of her more daring outfits.
Author's mental notes
Elana leads a fairly normal life; but unlike many people, she's not happy with her normal life. She's got this inner compulsion to believe that somehow, in some unknown way, she's different from everyone else. It's what drives her, really.. what keeps her in her strict routines, that vague hope that someday she'll find out what that odd little feeling means.
